It all begins with an idea. Or does it?

My journey in art began 30 years ago when I started taking art lessons for fun. I paint ed all realistic paintings. A year ago, I started exploring Abstract Art. Turns out, I never understood Abstract Art! I bet many of you are in that same boat as I was or perhaps you’ve already discovered what Abstract Art is all about!

Abstract Art is very personal to the artist and is tied to emotions, likes, dislikes, color, harmony, contrast, intention, inspiration, exploration and lots and lots of practicing and playing to achieve what the artist wants her/his art to look like. Abstract Art is not for everyone and that’s okay. But I encourage you to look at Abstract Art and see what you think the artist is trying to get across to others and maybe, just maybe you will get to a place you like or at least appreciate that Abstract Art isn’t just throwing paint on paper/canvas.

This journey took me to take several courses, but the one that really taught me what I needed to know to create art I enjoy creating was a course called “Find Your Joy” by Louise Fletcher. What an incredible person she is! Please look her up online to see her art! I have learned so much and am very happy to be able to make some of my paintings and studies available to you, should you so desire to purchase them. I have been very encouraged by my family and friends to do this, so off we go. Let me know what you think and sign up on my mailing list to receive emails for when new art works are available.
